Mila is a multi-genre flautist, pianist, and emerging composer born in Brazil, based in Galway, Ireland. A classically-trained musician from a young age, her roots in the world of classical music serve as the foundation for her artistic exploration, later getting involved and performing instrumental music from different cultures and traditions across Europe and South America.
In the past decade, Mila has been nurturing the traditional Irish music scene in Brazil by founding the band Oran and the digital magazine O Pint Diário, dedicated to bringing the Irish music to Portuguese speakers, also being a committee member of Comhaltas Brasil and music director at Festival Celta Brasil. Since living in Ireland, Mila has collaborated with artists such as Agustina Taborda, Carl Hession, Annalisa Monticelli, Music Matter’s Treo Ensemble, Al Andar Flamenco, Galway Choro Ensemble and Sonanta Flamenco-Jazz, performing at renowned venues around Ireland and festivals in Galicia, Brittany and Italy.
In 2021, Mila took a significant step in her solo career with the release of her debut singles, Across The Green Ocean and Frevo de Três Folhas. The same year Mila released her first EP História do Tango with guitarist Giovani Di Ganzá. She is currently a music tutor, pianist at Silent Cinema Galway, session-recording freelance musician and flautist of band Baile An Salsa.
